The Esplanade Hotel is a very popular destination for school groups, we currently cater for 12 - 14 individual groups during the year and we are now extending the booking season into September and October. The normal visit duration is 4 nights, Monday to Friday, but we are flexible for longer stays or 3 nights weekends if required.

The Hotel can accommodate a maximum of 58 students in multi bedded rooms, 7 Teachers in twins and singles and 1 room dedicated for the coach driver. There is also provision for a separate meeting area which doubles as a comfortable teachers lounge with a balcony overlooking the beach for relaxing in the evenings.

Our menu is designed specifically for school groups and the group leaders of our existing schools are happy to provide references of the highest calibre about their Isle of Wight and Esplanade Hotel experiences.

The vast majority of our groups return to us year upon year, and secure bookings up to 3 years in advance.  We believe this says a great deal about the way we approach the care of our groups, and the friendships formed to make the visits work in such a way that we genuinely look forward to the time when their annual visit approaches.

The Hotel is perfectly positioned directly on Shanklin beach, and benefits from fabulous sea views. Many of our groups take advantage of the beach for evening games and activities. We believe that your visit should be at a fully inclusive cost, therefore any accommodation rates quoted will include the following.

• Complimentary bottle of wine each night for the teachers dinner table.
• Choice of hot breakfast items each day for children and adults.
• 3 course dinner menu (plus tea, coffee and wine for adults)
• Full waitress service of all meals.
• Packed lunches with a choice of sandwich fillings each day.
• Last night Disco with free soft drink for children during the evening.
